Snow! Snow! Snow!

th[10] The groundhog saw his shadow!! Yay, six more weeks of winter!!! I love winter! I love sled riding and I love, love, love building snowmen!
Sydney and I made a giant book out of snow right outside the library. I think it looks great! Sydney got cold and wet and wanted to go home but Mrs. Mackenzie made us hot cocoa and that made her feel better. What fun things are you doing in the snow??

Christmas is coming!

Mrs. Mackenzie’s having a Polar Express Party in December! We get to wear our jammies and drink hot chocolate and eat yummy Christmas cookies!!! The week after Christmas we have our annual Library Sleepover! I hope it snows.

FIZZ, BOOM, READ! at Your Library!!!

Have you signed up for your library’s Summer Reading Program yet? Sydney, Dakota, Zachary and I are going to the Mad Scientist’s Workshop. It’s on Wednesday mornings in June and July! Mrs. Mackenzie is wearing a lab coat and making her hair all messy and spiky! I’ll bet she’ll put some glitter in her hair, too.

We’re going to do lots of neat science experiments like tornados in a bottle and Elephant Toothpaste! She’s making some kind of giant fountain out of a 2 liter bottle of Diet Coke. We’ll have to go outside to do that so we won’t make a mess in the library. I’ll bet you library is doing neat stuff, too. Please write and tell me about it! I love to hear about what other kids are doing!

HOLIDAY SLEEPOVER!

The Library Sleepover is next week!! Sydney and I got new Christmas pajamas to wear! Mrs. Mackenzie planned a scavenger hunt but she won’t tell us what the prize is. We’re going to have pizza and popcorn and a movie and lots and lots of cookies! Gram made 12 different kinds. Dakota and Zackary keep coming over to my house just to eat cookies. Gram put some in the freezer so there will be some left for Monday night. I am so excited! This is my favorite library program. Did you have a good winter break? Write and tell me about it.

Turkey trouble at the Library!!

Mrs. McKenzie lost her Thanksgiving Turkeys! She has three really big turkeys that go on the circulation desk each year. Dakota, Sydney, and I have looked everywhere for them. We just left the pumpkins and fall leaves up to decorate the library for now. Maybe we could make turkeys to surprise her. Can anyone tell us how to do it?

PUPPETS, PUPPETS, PUPPETS!!!

Hi! It’s me, Abby!! Sydney, Dakota, Zachary, and I are all in the Library’s Puppet Workshop! Next week we have our performances on Tuesday and Wednesday night! All our friends and family are coming to see us. I am so excited! I am in two plays. I get to use a funny white goat marionette in the first play. It’s head bobs up and down and it has a beard! In the second play, I use a fat chicken puppet named Henrietta. I hope your library has puppets, too! They are so much fun!!!

Bat Camp!!!

Wednesday night is Bat Camp at the library! Dakota and I are going to help with the Wind and Weather Maze! Dakota gets to use the air cannon for the wind part and I’m throwing cotton balls for snowflakes. All the kids can try on bat wings and fly through the maze. It’s going to be so much fun!

Summer Reading!!

Mrs. Mackenzie just made the flier for our library’s Summer Reading program! There are so many things to do! I want to be in the Puppet Workshop and the Book Bunch Book Discussion group. There are going to be Family Movie Nights every Thursday in August, too! I am so excited! What’s going on at your library this summer?
